Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County applauding Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers

Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County is applauding Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers for transporting blood and other bio products across the State in times of need and expedience.

On the night of January 29th, troopers went “above and beyond to help facilitate care” at the hospital. They relayed blood and blood products not only once, but twice from Cheyenne to Rock Springs, according to Dawn Gaensslen, BSN, RN, who reported on the troopers’ Facebook page. “This particular night Wyoming State Dispatchers, Troopers and behind the scene personnel touched the lives of multiple patients, concerned family members and staff here at Sweetwater Memorial.”

These two relays involved 10 Troopers, four Dispatchers and took approximately five hours to get from Cheyenne to Rock Springs twice!
